Advanced Placement at Grant High School

What is the Advanced Placement (AP) program?
AP courses are college-level courses that are offered during high school. These courses were created by university professors to reflect what is being taught in first-year college classes.  This is a great opportunity to possibly earn college credit by passing the AP test. 


Who can take AP classes?
AP classes are for students in grades 9 - 12.  They are NOT only for students with the best grades.  ANYONE who is confident, motivated and ready can enroll in AP classes.

AP TEST REGISTRATION - 2024/2025

 

Students will need to follow 3 steps in order to be fully registered for their AP Exam. Each student must do this individually in order to take the exams in May 2025. 

 

Step 1. Create or log in to your MyAP account at Myap.collegeboard.org (slide 2)

Step 2. Join your AP Class Section and Sign Up for your AP Exam on MyAP  (slide 3)

Step 3. Pay for your exams or request financial aid  (slide 4)

Any students who do not pre-register for exams will be turned away on test day.

  • Create/update your College Board account. You can do that at CollegeBoard 

  • Registration will need to be completed by early October.
