Holly Johnsen

Before she became a school counselor in 2021, Holly worked in public schools in other capacities including teaching, service coordination, and after school programs. She grew up in the David Douglas School District and developed a passion for social justice and advocacy in education through her service work in culturally and linguistically diverse communities. 

Holly’s favorite things about school counseling are hearing students’ stories and the opportunity to be part of their growth. She likes to bike to and read in new cafes, participate in community-based organizing for mutual aid, dancing, and all forms of potatoes.
