Hello Grant Families,

We are pleased to share that the “Report Absence” feature is back and updated in ParentVUE! You can now submit detailed information regarding your student’s attendance—including all-day absences, late arrivals, early departures, or specific missed classes. 

Please note that only one attendance activity (e.g., Arrive Late) can be reported online per day. If you need to log additional updates or correct a previous entry, please contact the school directly by email at grantattend@pps.net or by phone at 503-916-5160.

How to Update & Access the New ParentVUE App 

To report absences and access your student’s attendance records, grades, and annual verification, you will need to download the latest version of the app.

1. Delete the older ParentVUE app from your smartphone (identified by the multi-colored logo).
2. Download the new ParentVUE app (featuring a solid purple logo) from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
3. Open the app, swipe left, and enter zip code 97227 (please keep location services turned off).
4. Select Portland Public Schools.
5. Log in with your username and password.
   • Need to reset your password? Use the Forgot Password link. If you want more detailed instructions see the ParentVUE Password Reset Page for Parents Document. 
   • New to ParentVUE or need an activation key? Please contact the school office for assistance.

How to Report an Absence in the App

1. Once logged in, click the blue “Report Absence” button next to your student’s name.
2. Enter the details and click Save.
3. A popup confirmation reading “Absence request submitted for [Date]” will appear to confirm your request has been received.

Note: If an entry has already been submitted for that date, you will see a message reading “Absence request already submitted for [Date]. Please contact the school if you would like to modify the requested day.”
